Joshua Weinstein

Architect (Director of SITE II, Minneapolis, Minnesota)

Joshua Weinstein brings his 30 years of professional experience to SITE, Mr. Weinstein has given the firm its capacity to create fusions of art and architecture and see the projects through to realization. He is involved in every stage of development, from conceptual ideas and design development to final on-site supervision. His unique role includes an involvement in the complex philosophical issues, their translation into architectural terminology as well as a "hands-on" approach to building.

Mr. Weinstein graduated in architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York with further studies in Paris, London and Stockholm. Before joining SITE in 1982 as Director of Design Development, Joshua Weinstein worked with several large design offices where he specialized in adaptive/reuse projects and was responsible for an Award of Merit presented by the Regional Conference of Historical Agencies. Mr. Weinstein is a registered architect in Minnesota, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

In addition to his responsibilities at SITE, Joshua Weinstein has taught in the Environmental Design Department at Parsons School of Design, and currently teaches graduate design studio at the University of Minnesota. Also, he has lectured, judged competitions and participated in symposia at various colleges and professional conferences in North America, Europe and Asia.
