"Iceberg" Bottle for Vittel France

SITE was commissioned to redesign the plastic bottle for Vittel, a French producer of mineral water, in order to celebrate the company’s product with a totally new kind of container. The concept for the “Iceberg” Bottle is inspired by the characteristics of both frozen water and melted plastic. The configuration of the new container is the result of hand-crushing a standard Vittel water bottle, which then becomes an evocative and indeterminate object. The distorted shape has the additional advantage of producing a surface condition of refraction and reflection that looks remarkably like a piece of melting ice. This effect, in turn, makes the water inside the bottle appear more refreshing and inviting.
